Museum’s Gate Contemporary Luxury Townhomes

Museum’s Gate, a new luxury contemporary townhome development is under construction on Portland Street near the Museum Tower. The community is being built by Manzel Contemporary Homes and will feature a total of 29 four-story townhomes.

New High Rise Condo Planned for Houston Heights

A new 35-story luxury high rise condo tower is slated for the Houston Heights. The yet-to-be-named condominium project is being developed by a group of foreign investors and an Italian architect; the condos will consist of three towers made of glass and steel that will stand over the podium parking garage.

The Project is expected to have between 120 to 150 condo units for sale from $230,000 to $1.2 million ranging in size from 1,200 square feet to 3,200 square feet.

The Ivy Lofts Micro-Condos For Sale in East EaDo

A new condominium project has been announced in Downtown East EaDo, The Ivy Lofts will be Houston’s first micro styled condos for sale located on a full 1.4 acre block at the Southwest corner of Leeland and Live Oak in East Downtown.




The Ivy Lofts will be a 24-story high-rise with over 500 micro-condo units that will feature fantastic views of downtown including Minute Maid Park, the Toyota Center, and BBVA Compass Stadium. The first floor will be reserved for retail commercial space along with parking through the eighth floor.

The building will have condo floor plans from 300 to 700 square feet. Along with eight larger penthouse-like-style units that will have around 820 to 942 square feet.

The Ivy Lofts will feature a variety of unique small living finishes with transformable walls and furniture; such as a Murphy bed, a coffee table that turns into a desk, a bookshelf that disassembles into chairs or a mechanical dining room table that collapses into the floor.

This development is aimed to appeal towards affordable living for Millennials who want to live downtown including college students, young working professionals, and even empty nesters looking to downsize.

The Post Oak High Rise Hotel Breaks Ground

The Post Oak 36-story multi-use high rise hotel development has broke ground in Galleria Uptown. Billionaire Fertitta developing the project, says it will be “Houston’s first development combining hotel, office, retail and residential development in one building”. Fertitta believes it will be the nicest high class hotel constructed in Houston since the 80’s.

Interesting enough the development’s breaking ground comes at a time when Houston’s economy is lagging after a dramatic decline in oil prices. Fertitta himself has predicted a nationwide real estate crash due to the decrease in oil prices.

The Upcoming Katy Boardwalk District

Development plans have been released for a new 48 million dollar mix-use development alongside Katy Mills Mall. The project is being referred to as The Katy Boardwalk District and will take an estimated eight to ten years to complete.

The Katy Boardwalk District will feature:

  • Convention Center over 70,000 square feet
  • Hotel with over 200,000 square feet
  • Retail Space 240,000+ square feet
  • Office Space 250,000 square feet
  • Residential Loft Residences
  • Restaurant Facilities & Public Plaza

All will be anchored by an 89-acre park with a lake, boardwalk, nature preserves and a two-mile walking trail system. Construction of the park is expected to begin this winter and be complete by the end of next year.

The Residential Residences will be developed by Gracepoint Homes, the Hotel developer has yet to be named. More details to be posted as the mix-use development comes along.

Aurora Luxury Condos For Sale | Houston Galleria (Project Postponed)

A new luxury condo project is being planned in the Galleria by Sims Luxury Builders. The Aurora will be a sixteen-story high rise located at 906 Tilbury Drive in Uptown near high-end shopping will feature 40 individual condo units for sale.

Philip Johnson-Alan Ritchie Architects are the designers for the building.

The architect of some of Houston’s most recognizable buildings- Philip Johnson, from Pennzoil Place to Williams Tower has designed the Aurora.

The condo units will be between 3,400- to 4,000-square-feet and projected to be priced between $2 million and $2.6 million. The top two floors will be reserved for four two-story exquisite penthouses with prices upward of $4-5 million. The largest penthouse will be more than 6,000 square feet.

The Aurora will have a rooftop terrace, a pet-grooming station, fitness facility, a pool and 24 hour concierge services.
