Cane Island Residential Community Planned
Rise Communities LLC from Las Vegas will be moving to Houston in 2015 to introduce it’s new master planned community for Katy. They have announced their plans to develop Cane Island located off Interstate 10 at the New Cane Island interchange.
Cane Island was purchased in 2011 from the Minze Family, it is currently under construction and will be the 1,000 acre master planned community. The Minze family owned the land and rice farms for more than 60 years before deciding to sell the land for $27,000 an acre to these new luxury developers.
The Developer and its Seven Homebuilders plan to build 2,000 traditional and luxury homes priced from $200,000’s to the Millions. Rice Communities will have several unique amenities to draw in new Homebuyers including a Canine Ambassador and Bellagio Conservatory.
The Canine Ambassador will be a Golden Retriever named Hub, who was named after the land of the former hub of the rice farming industry. Hub will have his own Business Cards and Facebook Page, and he will even invite residents to Canine Island’s ambassador suite to stay over night.
The Bellagio will feature a floral entrance and a 1,500 square foot conservatory that will showcase seasonal trees, plants, and displays. It will be modeled after the Bellagio Conservatory from the Las Vegas Hotel-Casino. Cane island will also feature many amenities including a Welcome Center, Fitness Center, Yoga Room, Outdoor Cafe & Pools.
